Animal Clay Club

Amanda and Amalie are ceramicists, who joined Nordic Soup to share their joy of creating animals out of clay.

Their project is a series of workshops designed for diverse audience to explore the craft. The atmosphere they’re creating is inviting for people with no experience of ceramics as well as the ones who often feel pressure to socialize in similar setting.

They create a truly inclusive environment, where creativity is supported with immersion, light guidance and playfull imagination.

Dreams and Stories in the Giant Pillow

Fongyee explored how art experiences can empower young people to shape public spaces. Her project is situated in her local neighbourhood, where arts and cultural spaces are fewer compared to the city centre.

A giant inflatable pillow takes over a large hall in the cultural heritage building serving as an interactive space that reimagines the hall as a dynamic setting for intergenerational and improvisational play.

Clara Cadenza

Sophie is a classical musician, who joined Nordic Soup to bring to life her podcast project.

Clara Cadenza is an adventure podcast for children and families, which brings not only entertainment but also education. The story line revolves around Clara who travels back in time and discovers the female and the lesser known classical music composers.

Bringing visual art to the blind and visually impaired

Jaime believes that there is still room for improvement when it comes to accessibility for the blind and visually impaired.

His project uses a mobile app to scan information featured in specific QR-Codes and tactile flooring - so that blind and visually impaired people will be able to navigate outdoor and indoor spaces independently.

The QR-Codes can feature any information: street names, store names, directions, live public transport times and directions, supermarket products and prices – and the list goes on.
